Redux est un mod qui laisse tout le contenu de S.T.A.L.K.E.R. intact (PNJ, missions, monstres, armes) tout en changeant complètement l'expérience de jeu. En fait il s'agit d'un énorme lifting qui ajoute
- Du réalisme
- De la difficulté
- De la durée de vie
Pour atteindre ces trois objectifs, un remaniement complet des armes (sons, précision, cadences, dommages...), de l'économie du jeu et des tables de loot a été fait. Il va maintenant falloir se battre pour trouver des munitions, des armes en bon état et surtout de la bouffe (je conseille d'acheter toute nourriture que vous voyez chez les marchands, vous n'en trouverez pas sur les corps !)
Redux a été traduit en français, est compatible avec la version 1.0004 du jeu et se télécharge ici : http://dada4.free.fr/stalker/Redux_v1.02_FULL.zip
J'ai testé le début avec Iwer's Un-life mod et à priori ça fonctionne. Pour une première partie ce dernier ajout est toutefois déconseillé.

Even the economy is against you as you struggle against the Zone itself, with stalkers paying an all-time low for jobs offered, and just as ready to stab you in the back as to pay up. Weapons in the Zone have become little more than pieces of scrap, and traders are quickly getting sick of paying top dollar for old equipment. Enemies, too, have taken to using less ammunition, and you'll be hard-pressed to keep your handful of bullets in your pocket. Your one saving grace is in artifacts, what every stalker is here for. Traders will be glad to pay out many rubles for a high-grade artifact, and it's very much worth your time keeping an eye out for them as you attempt to regain your memory. In recent years, the area around Chernobyl has gone from unstable to volatile, and anomalies that once agitated stalkers now kill them with deadly randomness. Invisible thanks to a new wave of radiation, traders have taken to stocking special radiation detectors to combat the growing threat. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Redux aims to make the Zone into the place we all wanted it to be, but be careful what you wish for, stalker. J'arrive pas trop à piger. J'en suis à peine au début (+- 30 mn de jeu) et je me fade des radiations tout le temps qui me tuent à tous les coups malgré que je prenne une injection du produit vendu par le marchand !
